ABOUT THE CLUB

Elite Gymsports Academy opened in April 2005 in the St George area. In just over 4 years, the club has already achieved some fantastic results in both regional and State levels as well as well as having over 400 participants attending the club and the club is still growing!!! We offer quality programs for children 3 years up to adults and for beginners up to advanced classes.

HEAD COACH

Donna Wilkinson is a very experienced gymnastics coach who has been coaching gymnastics for over 15years in the Sutherland Shire, Menai and St George areas. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Education in Physical and Health education as well as a qualified nationally accredited Level 2 WAG coach & judge, MAG coach, Kindergym, Trampolining and Cheerleading coach. Donna has taught at RavenswoodSchool for girls as a PDHPE teacher for primary and secondary students and lectured at Wollongong University, teaching gymnastics to future PDHPE teachers. She has taught many gymnasts, specialising in WAG in both lower and higher levels. Donna has achieved some outstanding results including coaching State Champions and National apparatus champions in WAG Levels 6 and above. As a gymnast herself, Donna has represented Australia in Levels and trained at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra and as a result is experienced in coaching all styles of "Recreational," "National Levels" and "Elite" gymnastics. She has also had gymnasts selected into the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra as well as the Bronze selection squad for the NSW Elite selection team from 2008-2010.
